How to Cope with Stress on the Job

Hospitals are stressful for both Patients and Nurses…but it doesn’t always have to be.  Oftentimes we create the stressful situation ourselves.  Patients are left in the dark about their situation, nurses are not fully informed and everyone is frustrated.  Patients need to trust us before they will fully comply with our clinical directives.  One way to develop trust is through purposeful communication.
